Dhaka, April 21 -- Actors' Equity Bangladesh has ushered in new leadership for three years following the latest elections. Azad Abul Kalam emerged victorious with 310 votes, securing the position of president, while Rashed Mamun Apu was elected general secretary with 367 votes. This year's election saw Azad Abul Kalam contesting for the presidency against Abdullah Rana, and Rashed Mamun Apu vying for the general secretary role against Shahed Sharif Khan, said a press release. The election results were announced at 8:30pm on Saturday by Naresh Bhuiyan and Faruque Ahmed.
