Dhaka, Dec. 5 -- Actor Tinu Karim, who has worked on both small and big screens for over two decades, has been put on life support.

He was admitted to a hospital in the capital on Wednesday after his physical condition deteriorated severely.

His wife Humaira Nowshin confirmed the matter to media. She said that Tinu had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in capital since Nov 24.

He had gone to his village home in Barisal on Nov 8. He suddenly fell ill there.

As his oxygen levels in his body were dropping dangerously, he was rushed to Dhaka on Nov 24. He was then admitted to the ICU of a hospital in Dhaka.
