Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque and seven others over allegations of acquiring a 10-katha plot by providing false information.
ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain disclosed the matter to reporters on Monday.
As per the case details, Justice Khairul Haque allegedly misused his official position, submitted a false affidavit, and engaged in fraud to obtain the plot from Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk).
The allotment violated Rule 13 of the Dhaka Improvement Trust (Allotment of Lands) Rules, 1969. The rule mandates that plots cancelled due to false information or lease violations must be re-allotted through a committee process. The l...
