Dhaka, Sept. 22 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission has sought wealth statements from 12 employees of the health sector and their family members on allegations of accumulating wealth beyond their known sources of income.

The ACC issued a notice in this regard on September 15 containing a list of 20 people. The list also includes a driver of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Abdul Malek, who was detained recently by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on charges of carrying an illegal firearm and posessing fake currency. Abdul Malek's wife, Nargis Begum is also in the list.
