Dhaka, Sept. 12 -- An air conditioner mechanic died after falling off the sixth floor of a building while working in Jorpukur area under Khilgaon police station in the capital, police said.
The deceased was Rifat, 21, son of Jasim from Kazitla village under Muradnagar Police Station in Cumilla district.
Alamin, a colleague who brought him to the hospital, said when Rifat was working on an outdoor AC unit he accidentally fell at 3:34 pm from the sixth floor and sustained critical injuries.
He was immediately rescued and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead at 4:30pm, reports UNB.
