Dhaka, March 4 -- Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), who was cruelly killed by the outlawed organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League, is set to receive the Swadhinata Padak posthumously - the highest civilian honor - in recognition of his self-sacrifice.
Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD), and Cooperatives, shared the news on his verified Facebook account on Monday, recalling Abrar's sacrifice.
