Dhaka, Nov. 13 -- At a discussion meeting organized by the BNP marking the 50th anniversary of the National Revolution and Solidarity Day, AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Monju proposed a seat-sharing arrangement with BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

He said, "Out of 300 parliamentary seats, candidates in 150 constituencies will be nominated through an understanding between the BNP-led alliance and the Jamaat-led alliance. The remaining 150 seats will remain open. In the 150 seats under the understanding, the BNP alliance will field candidates in 100 seats, while the Jamaat alliance will contest in 50 seats. For the other 150 seats, all parties may field candidates as they wish."
