Dhaka, June 1 -- Amid a rise in dengue infection 95 more patients were hospitalised across the country in 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
Among the new patients, 82 were admitted to hospitals in the capital Dhaka and the rest outside it, data of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) showed.
The data showed that 283 dengue patients, including 242 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country till the date.
The DGHS has recorded 2,022 dengue cases, 1, 726 recoveries, and 13 deaths so far this year.
The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022 - the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019. Also, it recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
