Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- A total of 82 officers of the Bangladesh Police, including those holding the ranks of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional DIG, and Superintendent of Police (SP), have been appointed as Officers on Special Duty (OSD).
The order, signed by Md Mahbubur Rahman, deputy secretary of the Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, on behalf of the president, was issued through three separate notifications on Tuesday.
According to the notifications, these officers of the BCS (Police) cadre have been transferred or appointed as OSD in the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
It was also mentioned that these orders have been issued in the public interest and will be effective immediately.
