Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection will deploy 80 teams nationwide to monitor markets, curb illegal hoarding, and ensure essential goods are available at fair prices during Ramadan.

The decision was taken at a meeting in Dhaka on Monday.

Ten teams will monitor the markets in the capital, two teams in each divisional city, and one team in other key districts of the country, reports UNB.

Representatives from various entities including brands like Aarong, Deshidosh, Ilinion, Apex, Yellow, Sajgoj, Infinity, SuperShop Swapno, MinaBazar, Agora, UniMart, Daily Shopping, as well as wholesale and retail traders, participated in the meeting, according to a government release.
