Dhaka, March 17 -- The government has finalized a name for the new university that will incorporate seven prominent government colleges in Dhaka city. Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder announced today that the proposed institution will be named Dhaka Central University.Speaking at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the afternoon, Azad confirmed the decision and outlined the next steps in the approval process. Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahammad Foyez were also present at the briefing.An interim administrator for the university will be nominated from among the principals of the seven colleges.
