Dhaka, Nov. 22 -- Mongla Port ushered in a new era in the history of the Port after importing as may as 61 thousand 303 reconditioned cars during the last 4 years (from July, 2021 to June, 2025) alone.

It is disclosed by Md. Makruzzaman, Deputy Director (Mass Communication) of Mongla Sea Port Authorities. The DD added, 50 percent of the total income of the Port was earned from this sector alone during the period.

The Deputy Director further disclosed, a private company named 'Haqus Automobile' imported some 255 reconditioned cars from Japan through Mongla Sea Port on June 03 in the year 2009 for the first time in the history of the Port and as its continuation 70 percent reconditioned cars have been imported from this Port and consequen...
