Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- Police activities have been intensified in the Dhaka metropolitan area to maintain law and order situation. It has been reported that about 500 patrol teams have been on duty in 50 police stations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in the last 24 hours.

In addition, patrol teams of CTTC, ATU, APBN and RAB have been on duty at 54 police check posts at important places in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of the Media and Public Relations Department of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman said this on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 639 more individuals were arrested during the nationwide 'Operation Devil Hunt' in last 24 hours.
