Dhaka, April 19 -- About 50 percent of eye patients in Bangladesh suffer from sight disability.

Of them, the females share 53 percent and the males do 47 percent.

Sightsavers, an international charity, collected data from 7,079 patients (3,326 males and 3,753 females) who received health care services during the period from 16th September to 30th November 2018.

The report said, the visual disability increased among the aged people and the most common additional functional limitations were walking, remembering and concentrating.
