Dhaka, June 4 -- A tragic road accident in Faridpur's Bhanga Upazila has left five people dead and three others injured after a bus collided with a four-wheeler early Thursday morning.
The incident took place around 5:45am near the Chumurdi Bus Stand, according to Bhanga Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rakibuzzaman.
"The four-wheeler was traveling from Bhanga toward Tekerhat in Gopalganj when it was struck by a bus," said the police official.
Following the crash, the Fire Service quickly responded, rescuing the injured and recovering the bodies of the deceased. All were taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.
As of now, the identities of the victims have not been confirmed, police said.
