Dhaka, July 19 -- A Dhaka court has ordered five suspected members of a robbery gang to be sent to jail after they were arrested while allegedly planning a robbery in the city's Motijheel area, pretending to be members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman issued the order on Thursday, court sources said on Friday. The magistrate passed the order on Wednesday after the five were produced before the court.

The accused are Abdul Mannan (35), Riad Hossain (37), Abdul Jalil (40), Md Matiur Rahman alias Matin Khan alias Matin Chora (37), and Paresh Adhikari (35).
