Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- A mobile court in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, burned and destroyed 5,600 meters of banned current nets and China Duari nets.Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Amir Salman Rony conducted the operation in the Old Brahmaputra River adjacent to the Upazila Parishad of the municipal town on Tuesday with the help of the Upazila Fisheries Office and Thana Police.Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Tahmina Khatun said that a group of fishermen were fishing with banned current nets in the Old Brahmaputra River.
