Dhaka, Dec. 10 -- 47 Indian fishermen have left for their homeland after being released from Bagerhat Jail. They left for India from Mongla Coast Guard Jetty on Monday morning.

Earlier on Sunday , the judge of Bagerhat Chief Judicial Magistrate Court ordered their release. After the court's order, they were released from prison that afternoon.

It is worth noting that these 47 Indian fishermen had been imprisoned in Bagerhat Jail for the past four months.

Mongla Coast Guard Media Officer Lt. Commander Md. Muntasir Ibne Mohsin confirmed the departure of the 47 Indian fishermen for their homeland.
