Dhaka, Dec. 5 -- An earthquake was felt in the capital, Dhaka, and surrounding areas early Thursday morning, continuing a series of aftershocks following the major earthquake on November 21 in Narsingdi. At 6:14am, the tremors were felt, and according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the earthquake was of a light magnitude.

The epicenter was located in Shibpur, Narsingdi, at a depth of 30 kilometers beneath the Earth's surface, with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was 38 kilometers northeast of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's seismic observation center in Agargaon, Dhaka.
