Dhaka, Aug. 3 -- Four people have been killed when a train ploughed into an autorickshaw at a rail crossing in Cox's Bazar's Ramu.
The accident took place around 1:30pm on Saturday at the Rashidnagar crossing, said Ramu police chief Tayubur Rahman.
Tayubur said one of the victims was identified as Morjina Akter, 35, a resident of Purbo Gomatoli in Pokkhali Union under Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila, based on her national ID found at the site. Her young child also died in the crash.
The driver of the CNG-powered autorickshaw, Shahab Uddin, was also killed. The identity of the fourth victim has yet to be confirmed.
