Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- The administration has taken extensive measures to ensure the safety and security of devotees and to maintain law and order during the upcoming Durga Puja festival.
All preparations have been completed to celebrate Durga Puja, the largest festival of the Hindu community in Kishoreganj, which is scheduled to begin on October 28. At least 388 Puja mandaps have been set up across 8 municipalities and 13 upazilas of Kishoreganj. Artisans, locally known as pauls, are working around the clock to give the final touches to the idols of Goddess Durga.Police have intensified online monitoring of the Durga Puja celebrations to ensure foolproof security, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Hasan Chowdhury, BPM.
