Dhaka, March 13 -- Forest guards from the Chandpai Forest Range under the Eastern Division of the Sundarbans recovered 30 kgs of venison and the head of a spotted deer, which were abandoned by poachers in Mongla Upazila, Bagerhat district, on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at Bauddhmary Bazar, following a tip-off that poachers had hunted a deer from the deep forest of Sundarbans at Joymonirgol.Acting swiftly on secret information, a team of forest guards lay in ambush near Bauddhmary Bazar. Upon noticing the guards' presence, the poachers abandoned the venison and deer head, fleeing the scene on a motorbike.
