Dhaka, May 26 -- Authorities have seized at least 20,300 articles of clothing suspected to be uniforms for the armed hill group Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) from a garment factory in Chattogram city.
The clothes were confiscated late on 17 May from Ringvo Apparels, located in the Nayarhat area of Bayezid Bostami. Three individuals, including the factory owner, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
While the matter came to public attention on Sunday, 25 May, the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has yet to officially acknowledge the seizure. However, several CMP officials confirmed details of the operation to the media.
