Dhaka, May 13 -- Three people, including a woman, her child, and a teenage girl, lost their lives after a motorcycle collided with a bus in Kaunia Upazila of Rangpur on Tuesday morning.

The tragic accident occurred around 9:45am near the Bailey Bridge area, confirmed Abdul Latif, officer-in-charge of the local police station.

The victims have been identified as Rubina Begum, 32, her two-year-old son Rahmat Ali, and her 16-year-old niece Afsana Begum Sneha, all residents of Mahesha village.

According to witnesses, Ashraful Islam was en route to Kaunia Mofazzal Hossain Government High School with his wife, son, and niece on a motorcycle around 9:15am. As they reached the Jumma area of Mahesha village, a bus struck their vehicle.
