Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- In Bangladesh, the spread of false information targeting women has now been identified as a concerning social and digital issue. Analysis by Rumor Scanner revealed that, from January to September this year, at least 21% of all identified rumors were related to women.

During the first nine months of this year, Rumor Scanner detected at least 68 pieces of misinformation involving 29 female celebrities from the entertainment industry. Of these, 50 pieces of content were found to involve the use of AI or digital technology.
