Dhaka, Sept. 15 -- The long-awaited Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Cucsu) election process began with a strong response as 28 nomination papers were collected on the very first day of distribution.
According to the Cucsu Election Commission, 26 nomination papers were collected for central union posts while two were submitted for hall unions. Chief Election Commissioner Prof Monir Uddin confirmed the matter, saying the level of interest among students had exceeded expectations.
"We are witnessing great enthusiasm among the students. Participation has already exceeded our expectations," Prof Monir told reporters after the day's distribution.
