Dhaka, June 16 -- Bangladesh recorded one death and 26 fresh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
As per the DGHS data, with the latest update, the nationwide death toll has reached 29,503, while the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases has climbed to 20,51,833.
During the reporting period (from 8 am Saturday to 8 am Sunday), 291 samples were tested, resulting in a daily positivity rate of 8.93%. The overall positivity rate now stands at 13.05%, and the case fatality rate remains at 1.44%.
To date, 20,19,410 people have recovered from the virus across the country.
