Dhaka, Nov. 9 -- As many as 255 foreign commercial ships arrived at Mongla, the 2nd biggest Sea Port of the country (in Bagerhat district) during the first 117 days of the new financial year (of 2025-26) alone.

As a result, revenue of the Port increased, it was disclosed by Mongla Port Authorities (MPA) on Monday.

According to the Port Authorities, out of the total arrived ships some 18 carried 10 thousand and 608 TEUs containers and 10 ships carried some 253 reconditioned cars of different brands.

Muhammad Makruzzaman, Deputy Director (mass communication) of Mongla Port Authorites told a total 47 lakh tons goods were handled at the Port during the period from July 01 to October 25.
