Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- In a late-night operation at Narayanganj's Gymkhana area, a joint force arrested 24 individuals with various drugs, drug-use equipment, and

locally made weapons. Among them, five were sentenced on the spot to different jail terms by a mobile court, while the remaining 19 were handed over to the local police. The convicts include Faisal (21) from Gymkhana Railway Colony and Rifat (20) from Jallarpar, both sentenced to 12 days in jail; Jubair Bhuiyan Rana (36) from Deovogh Pacca Road, sentenced to 20 days; Mostafa Hossain (26) from Jallarpar, sentenced to 14 days; and Avinondi (30) from Dailpotti, sentenced to seven days.
