Dhaka, Sept. 12 -- For the third consecutive day on Thursday, local residents blocked the Dhaka-Khulna and Dhaka-Barishal highways, protesting the Election Commission's constituency demarcation. After paralyzing highways, they have now moved to block railway lines in Faridpur.
As a result, traffic between Dhaka and 21 southwestern districts has come to a standstill, leaving these key routes nearly paralysed and causing severe hardship for commuters.
