Dhaka, Sept. 18 -- The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has confiscated two bank lockers belonging to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Agrani Bank, intensifying the ongoing financial probe against her.
CIC Director General Ahsan Habib confirmed the development yesterday, saying both lockers-numbered 751 and 753-were sealed as part of the investigation. He told media on Wednesday that the contents of the lockers remain unknown, as a detailed assessment is still underway.
This latest action comes just a week after another locker in Hasina's name was seized at Pubali Bank's Motijheel corporate branch.
