Dhaka, July 24 -- Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of scrap trader Lal Chand alias Md Sohag in front of Mitford Hospital in Old Dhaka.

Kotwali Police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Md Parvez (26) and Md Zahirul Islam (38) during a raid in Keraniganj on Wednesday morning. They were later produced before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman's court, which granted a three-day remand for each.

According to Kotwali Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) and investigation officer Md Moniruzzaman, the police sought a 10-day remand for both accused. After a hearing, the court approved a three-day remand.
