Dhaka, Feb. 21 -- Two people were killed in an exchange of gunfire during a joint forces raid in the capital's Mohammadpur area. The incident took place in the Chand Udyan neighborhood around 1:00 am on Thursday (February 20).

Additionally, five individuals were arrested during the operation.Assistant Commissioner AKM Mehedi Hasan of Mohammadpur Zone Police confirmed the incident to the media, stating that several rounds of bullets, a foreign pistol, and a machete were recovered after the skirmish.

Police reported that a group of armed criminals suddenly opened fire on security forces during a routine patrol. In response, law enforcement returned fire, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
