Dhaka, Nov. 5 -- At last, Nilphamari has been chosen as the site for a modern 1,000-bed hospital to be built as a gift from the Government of China.
The hospital will be constructed on approximately 25.5 acres of land at the Darwani Textile Field in Charai Khola Union under Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has already issued a notice to prepare the master plan and cost estimation for the hospital's construction.
The notice, signed by Deputy Secretary Fatema Tuz Johora Thakur on October 30, has been sent to the Ministry of Housing and Public Works as an "urgent matter."
