Dhaka, Nov. 19 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has reported that 198 murder incidents occurred in the capital over the past ten months.

The data was revealed by DMP Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman during a media briefing on Tuesday.

According to him, the city saw an average of around 20 murders per month in this period, and investigators have already identified the motives behind most of these cases.

Speaking about the killing of Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibriya in Pallabi, the DMP official noted that the investigation is underway.
