Dhaka, July 21 -- At least 19 people have been killed and about 60 others injured after a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a school campus in Uttara, Dhaka, on Monday afternoon, officials confirmed.

Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters (media cell), confirmed the matter.

The fatal incident occurred when an F-7 BGI fighter jet, used for pilot training, crashed onto the canteen rooftop of Milestone School and College at around 1:18 PM, triggering explosions and widespread panic in the densely populated area.
