A court in Kishoreganj has sentenced 13 people, including 12 from the same family, to life imprisonment for killing businessman named Syed Ali at Karimganj of Kishoreganj on Thursday. They have also been fined Tk 10,000 each, and in default of payment, sentenced to six months of rigorous imprisonment.The Senior District & Sessions Judge Md. Nurul Amin Biplob announced the verdict. Public Prosecutor (PP) of Kishoreganj district, advocate Md. Jalal Uddin confirmed this matter. The convicts are Abdur Rauf Alfatun (69), Kalam Munshi (64), Alauddin Member (59), Azizul Haque Elam (54) and Ayatul Haque (52), the five sons of the deceased Abdul Karim of Deopur Kazlahati village in Karimganj.
