Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- Twelve individuals accused of embezzling Tk568 crore from the Market Development Fund (MDF) have surrendered before a Dhaka court and secured bail in a case filed at Gulshan Police Station.Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman granted them bail on Monday after a hearing, Public Prosecutor Omar Faruk Faruki confirmed.
The case names Salman F Rahman, former private industry and investment adviser to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with 26 others, as accused.
