Dhaka, Dec. 11 -- Jahangirnagar University (JU) has received 2,19,399 applications for its undergraduate admission test in the 2025-26 academic year, with 119 candidates set to contest for each of the 1,844 seats for seven units.
Member-Secretary of the JU Admission Management Committee and Deputy Registrar (Academic) Syed Mohammed Ali Reza confirmed the information to BSS this afternoon.
According to the unit-wise breakdown, the 'A' unit (Mathematical and Physical Sciences Faculty) has 426 seats and received 60,351 applications, meaning 141 candidates will vie for each seat, while the 'B' unit (Social Sciences Faculty) has 326 seats against 20,583 applications, placing the competition at 63 applicants per seat.
