Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- In Narayanganj, 111 firearms and 1,507 rounds of ammunition that were looted from various police stations during the July mass uprising have been recovered. However, 40 firearms and about 7,518 rounds of ammunition are still unaccounted for. Narayanganj District Police are continuing operations to recover the remaining weapons, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Tarek Al Mehdi. He shared this information with journalists on Sunday (14 December) at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
