Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested 11 leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital on charges of disrupting the law and order by bringing out flash processions.

Of the arrestees, seven are leaders of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and four others are members of AL and its affiliated organizations, reports BSS. The arrestees came from Kotalipara of Gopalganj district with the aim of deteriorating the law and order situation in Dhaka Metropolitan City and creating fear in the public through subversive acts.
