Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,597 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital over the past day.The DMP has been conducting campaigns against traffic violations in the city to bring the traffic system under proper management, according to a statement from the DMP Media and Public Relations Division.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement on Thursday.It said 267 motor vehicles were impounded and 139 vehicles were immobilized during the campaign against traffic rule violations on November 18.
