Dhaka, Feb. 10 -- The process of reinstating police personnel who were dismissed during the tenure of the Awami League government but later won their appeals in the tribunal has begun.

According to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters on Saturday, a total of 1,522 reinstatement applications have been received, reports BSS.

Among the applicants, there are 1,025 constables, 79 nayeks, 180 ASIs/ATASIs, 200 SIs/sergeants/TSIs, 10 inspectors, and 28 non-police members.

To review these applications, a committee led by a DIG was formed in August last year, which has now submitted its report along with recommendations.
