'Women have to realise their own rights'

Dhaka, March 12 -- Fisheries and Livestock adviser Farida Akhter on Tuesday said that the women would have to realize their rights as their own.

"The women should not be backward in realizing their rights and there is no alternative to acquiring skill," she told a discussion on the occasion of 'International Women's Day-2025' at the livestock auditorium, reports BSS.

Chaired by Director of the Livestock Directorate Dr Begum Shamsunnahar Ahmed, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Director General of the Directorate Dr Md Abu Sufian, Director (Admin) Dr Md Bayzar Rahman, Assistant Director of BCS Livestock Academy Dr Kawsain Mobassher, Dhaka District Livestock Officer Basana Akhter and Deputy Director Dr Sharmin Samad.
