Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- "Shrimp farming is not merely a commercial activity but a vital source of livelihood for millions", Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter said on Saturday, stressing the need for integrity and strict quality control across the sector.
She made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting on the development of the fisheries sector in southern Bangladesh, held at Shrimp Tower in Khulna on Saturday .
The event was organized by Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA).
