'Plebiscite on July Charter can be held on election day'

Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that on the upcoming election day, a referendum could be held through a separate ballot to take public opinion in favor of or against the July Charter.He made this proposal on Saturday at the 36th founding anniversary program of the National Democratic Party (NDP) at the Engineers' Institute in the capital.

He said there is no scope for amending the constitution without a legitimate process.
