Dhaka, April 6 -- Barrister Rumeen Farhana, BNP's Assistant International Affairs Secretary and former MP from the reserved women's seat, said that the fight for voting rights is not over yet, and warned that if anyone tries to cling to power without elections, the people will not accept it.
Speaking as the chief guest at a public rally on Friday afternoon at the Surya Kumar Das Chowdhury High School grounds in Lalpur, Ashuganj, she said, "We are still fighting to establish the people's right to vote. Now some say BNP only talks about elections. Of course we do - BNP is a democratic party. Elections are the only way forward."
