Dhaka, April 4 -- Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam has said there is no room for extremism in Bangladesh, and nobody would have the opportunity to rise up with political or religious extremism.

"We will try to prevent political and religious extremism from taking afoot in Bangladesh," he said, referring to a report of the New York Times which said Bangladesh is reeling on an opportunity for extremists, reports BSS.

The information and broadcasting adviser was talking to the journalists after visiting the grave of martyr Masum Miah and meeting his family members at Uttar Rampur village of Cumilla Sadar South Upazila here today.
