Dhaka, Nov. 6 -- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has urged citizens across the country to observe National Revolution and Solidarity Day on November 7 with due respect and significance, describing the date as a milestone in the nation's history.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the day commemorates a decisive moment in 1975 when "freedom-loving people took to the streets to safeguard the country's independence and sovereignty and to resist conspiracies against the nation."
