Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Tuesday warned that the country's independence and sovereignty will be endangered if internal conflicts, such as fighting and bickering, persist.
He made these remarks during an event at Raowa Club in the capital, marking the National Army Martyrs Day.
He said, "I am cautioning you now, so you cannot say later that I did not warn you. If you fail to put aside your differences and work together, if you engage in mudslinging and fighting, the independence and sovereignty of this country and nation will be in jeopardy. I am telling you this today, or else you will claim that I did not warn you."
